MB Business Capital , the asset based lending division of MB Financial Bank, N.A., is pleased to announce the appointment of John A. Curtis, as Group President. He will be responsible for leading the division’s new business development team in the Southwest. He will be based in MB Business Capital’s new Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office as part of MB’s strategic initiative to expand geographically.

John brings over 30 years of banking and specialty lending experience to MB. John helped found First Capital where he held a number of positions including; EVP of the Central Region, Chief Operating Officer, Controller, and Senior Credit Underwriter. Prior to First Capital, John worked for Scrivner Corp., Signal Capital Corp., and First Asset-Based Lending Group, Inc. and at the Whirlpool Corp.
John has been an active member of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA), Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is a past member of the Executive Committee for the CFA and he has held various committee positions for the association. He holds a B.S. in Finance from Oklahoma State University, and an MBA from Oklahoma City University.
