Novak Brothers Announces New Additions To Management Team
Georgetown, Texas (PRWEB) September 15, 2015 -- Novak Brothers Development, announced the appointment of Tina Harlow as the company’s new Chief Operating Officer and Deborah A Thomas as its new Chief Financial Officer effective September 1, 2015.
Tina Harlow joins Novak Brothers with extensive experience in Hospitality Consulting and Hotel/ Resort Operations. Ms. Harlow has worked as Task Force General Manager in numerous projects including Big Cedar Lodge, The Broadmoor, The Stanley Hotel and El Monte Sagrado in Taos, New Mexico where she was responsible for all hiring, training and opening duties.
Prior to owning her own Consulting company, Ms. Harlow held the position of General Manager at Ventana Inn & Spa, a 243 acre resort and full service spa, for Joie De Vivre Hotels in Big Sur California. Ms.Harlow also held the position of Regional Director of Operations for Grand Heritage Hotel Group, overseeing the operation in the northeast for The Biltmore Hotel, The Chanler, Vanderbilt Hall and Casa del Mar in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Prior to Grand Heritage, Ms. Harlow was General Manager of the Lodge at Koele, Lani, Hawaii and Assistant General Manager of The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa.
Ms. Harlow has served on numerous Boards and Committees, including the American Hotel and Lodging Association Board. Her depth of experience in the Hospitality Industry will make her an incredible asset to our management team.
Deborah A. Thomas comes to Novak Brothers from Marlin Atlantis (Dallas) where she was CFO and a Founding Partner. At Marlin Ms. Thomas was instrumental in capital raising efforts for the company which involved seeking, negotiating and closing on funding for numerous real estate projects, bringing finance and real estate expertise to the management team.
Prior to Marlin, Ms.Thomas was a Principal at Thomas Consulting (Dallas) where she provided interim CFO duties, serving top management and Boards for private companies, ranging from software technology to telecom companies. She was Vice President for Merrill Lynch Private Capital in Dallas. Prior to that Ms. Thomas worked for Morgan Stanley in New York after earning her CPA while working at Ernst & Young. Ms. Thomas received her B.A. in Economics from Mount Holyoke College then went on to earn her M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton Graduate School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. She received her CPA from New York State American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Thomas is actively involved in the community where she serves as the incoming Chair of The Georgetown Project, a 19-year old non-profit devoted to building a healthier community for children and youth by being the catalyst for identifying needs and gaps in services, and mobilizing the community to action in a comprehensive and coordinated way to fill those gaps. She also serves on the board of directors of the Texas Life-Science Collaboration Center, a non-profit organization whose mission is to recruit and retain post-incubation biotechnology and life-sciences companies to Georgetown, Texas.
