STEM JobsSM, a leader in connecting classrooms to careers and workforce development for K-12 students from coast-to-coast, and National 4-H Council, the country’s premier youth development and empowerment organization, today announced an exciting new partnership. The collaboration will launch on October 7 as part of 4-H National Youth Science Day with a supercharged “Motion Commotion” science experiment exploring the physics of distracted driving as well as targeted lesson plans and the distribution of the STEM Jobs-unique STEM Type Quiz designed to help 13- to 18-year olds find a STEM field they love. “We’re delighted to be working with National 4-H Council, the nation’s largest and most dynamic youth development organization,” said Daniel Nichols, president of STEM Jobs. "Our shared recognition that this generation, more than any other, is a STEM generation, combined with our shared mission of developing leaders and increasing STEM literacy for all students, has led us to this dynamic partnership effort to demonstrate to young students that they really can do what they love for a living with STEM.”

“Through our 4-H programs and curriculum, we aim to bring STEM concepts to life in a way that is fun—engaging youth in hands-on, interactive projects that can bring the textbook concepts to life,” said Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO of National 4-H Council. “Our partnership with STEM JobsSM is exciting because it allows us to spark the interests of youth in STEM and empower them to lead in life today and in careers tomorrow.”

The content created and distributed as part of the partnership will reach students both at home and in school, and will sync with each quarterly issue of STEM JobsSM Magazine, which reaches millions of middle school and high school students from coast-to-coast. Topics will include avionics, geoscience, music technology, toy design, biotech, beauty, extreme sports, extreme environments and more. Among the planned materials are informative articles, expert blog posts, high-impact videos, engaging lesson plans, fast facts and infographics.
