Tampa, FL (PRWEB) November 05, 2015 -- Sahno Publishing evolved out of the notion that literary excellence is more important than a financial formula. The company enters the publishing world with the guiding principle that books should always find an audience, especially if written well.
Founder & CEO Michael Sahno is releasing his first three novels, Miles of Files, Jana, and Brothers’ Hand, through Sahno Publishing because of his experience in the field of publishing.
“Publishers typically base the decision on whether or not to accept submissions on financial considerations, whatever the manuscript’s merits,” Sahno said. “Even worse, many writers are notoriously press-shy, and marketing is left to the author – a crucial task for all writers in the age of self-publishing.”
The main problem, says Sahno, is “there's a good share of literature that has been left on the shelf because it doesn't fit a simple financial return on investment strategy.” But according to Sahno, that's just the beginning of how we are undermining the quality of storytelling and good literature.
“We strip the richness of good story down to the mere sound byte, which has degraded the art. We have replaced the richer, deeper meanings found in the works of Hemingway, Faulkner, and Steinbeck, just to name a few, with dumbed-down nonsense.
“Sahno Publishing will help authors navigate those murky marketing waters, but we start with the premise that quality comes first. Imagine if James Joyce or Kurt Vonnegut had never found a publisher; we don’t want that to happen to today’s great unpublished novelists.”
Sahno received his Master’s in English from Binghamton University, then served in several management positions before becoming a full-time professional writer in 2001. In the following years, he wrote more than 1,000 articles on a wide range of topics. Today, his goal is to help as-yet-unpublished writers reach a wider audience.
Advance Reader Copies of Jana, Brothers’ Hand, and Miles of Files are available prior to their December 10th publication date. Sahno Publishing will begin accepting manuscript submissions for future releases in early 2016.
