Milford Valley and Sandra’s brands of chicken products have launched summer recipe contests with total prizes worth $7,000. The contests offer home cooks an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity by combining chicken products from either brand with other simple ingredients to create a new dish.
“This is the first year that we are trying recipe contests for the chicken brands,” said Milford Valley/Sandra’s Marketing Director Carmen Darland. “We’re excited to see what types of recipe creations consumers come up with utilizing our frozen chicken products.”
All entries will be judged based on recipe and preparation, originality and creativity, and flavor and visual appeal. The judging panel will award the following prizes for each contest: grand prize of $2,000; first runner-up prize of $1,000; and second runner-up prize of $500.
In each contest, entrants may submit up to three recipes along with the final prepared dish photo showing the product package. The contests are open to cooking enthusiasts (home cooks) who are residents of the 50 United States or District of Columbia and are 18 years old or older.
