Hidrex USA Will Attend the American Academy of Dermatology 2016 Annual Meeting
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) February 11, 2016 -- From March 4 through 6, Hidrex USA will be exhibiting at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
At the convention, Hidrex USA's goal is to raise awareness for both the condition of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and its treatment options. Specifically, the company will be talking about Hidrex USA's tap water iontophoresis (TWI) medical devices, which are relatively new to the U.S. market.
The company also wants to network with dermatologists and gain exposure for their company's brand and technologies.
Many individuals still don't understand that excessive sweating is more than a discomfort -- it is an actual medical condition. Because TWI treatments are underutilized in the United States and because a prescription is required in order to use the device, few patients even know that the devices exist. Hidrex USA also believes it is crucial to spread awareness of TWI treatments among the medical community, because many physicians aren't familiar with the devices either.
The more dermatologists who know that TWI is a viable and available treatment option for those suffering from hyperhidrosis, the more people the company can help control excessive sweating. Chris Ligi, director of sales for Hidrex USA, believes that strategy is already paying off, and recently he has seen a steady rise in the amount of customers coming to Hidrex USA after hearing about TWI through their dermatologist.
"We are proud to have both helped hundreds of sufferers of hyperhidrosis and to spread awareness about TWI treatments within the dermatological community," said Ligi. "We look forward to being able to spread awareness for our brand and services, and to let dermatologists know about our method of hyperhidrosis treatments. It's important to get the awareness out in any way we can."
This is the third meeting of the American Academy of Dermatologists that Hidrex USA has attended.
