On Jan. 25, 2016, HubShout, LLC published its new eBook, "Online Marketing Trends 2016: What Small Businesses Want," available now for free download.
In December 2015, the veteran white label SEO company surveyed 118 digital marketers, industry leaders, and SEO agencies that service small business clients. Because HubShout, LLC, conducted a similar survey the year prior, the eBook provides a year-over-year analysis of the biggest marketing trends impacting small business owners in 2016.

Among the eBook's key findings:
1) Fully 74% of agencies expect their clients’ marketing budgets to increase this year, while 17% expect a "significant increase."
2) 55% of small business clients spent between $501 and $2,500 per month on digital marketing in 2015; 26% spent more than $2,500.
3) The top three in-demand digital marketing services were website development, SEO, and content marketing, respectively.
4) More than three in five survey participants (61%) cited SEO as a top lead generator, compared to 45% who cited social media marketing.
"For the second consecutive year, we conducted this survey to help small to mid-size marketing agencies understand the trends and prepare their businesses for 2016,” said Hill. “What we’re seeing this year is an increase in small business’s marketing budgets, which is very encouraging news for SEO resellers and digital marketing agencies.”
The survey also reveals that small businesses are allocating the majority of their marketing budgets to website development, which means marketers with web design offerings are well placed to grow in the coming year.
“We’re not at all surprised to see that small businesses continue to invest heavily in website development, SEO and PPC, and that they’re increasing their budgets for these services,” Hill explained. “We see that same trend with our SEO resellers’ small business clients, especially with our Featured News SEO service that’s been in very high demand since its release in 2015.”
