We are extremely grateful to have organizations like VXi and DAS working with us. Their generosity ensures that we can continue to provide critical programs and services to those that we serve, at no cost, for a lifetime.
Dover, N.H. (PRWEB) July 28, 2016
VXi Corporation announced today that, together with DAS Companies and their travel center partners, they raised $140,000 for Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP).
Working Together to Show Support and Promote Awareness
The money was raised through a special joint promotion that ran from July 2015 through April 2016. For the promotion, VXi created a unique camouflage version of their popular BlueParrott® B250-XT+ Bluetooth® headset—the BlueParrott B250-XT+ Wounded Warrior Project Edition—which was sold exclusively at travel centers. For every headset sold, VXi, distributor DAS, and retail partners combined to donate $10 to WWP.
The BlueParrott B250-XT+ Wounded Warrior Project Edition features a striking “desert digital” camouflage design that instantly identifies the limited-edition B250-XT+ headset. The camo pattern on every headset is unique, so every headset is one of a kind—a reminder of the individual sacrifice made by every wounded veteran. The military-inspired design gave BlueParrott customers an opportunity to show their pride and appreciation for the men and women in our armed forces. BlueParrott headsets, known for their sound quality, comfort and durability, are preferred by truckers. And since an estimated 40% of truckers are veterans, using a BlueParrott headset to support vets was a perfect fit.
“VXi is very proud and happy to have been a part of this effort,” said Mike Ferguson, president and CEO of VXi. “To be able to give $140,000 to such a worthy cause means a great deal to all of us. We’re thankful, too, for the support of our retail partners and DAS. We couldn’t have done it without them.”
“We wanted to do something meaningful for our wounded warriors,” said Charles White, vice president of brands and marketing, at DAS Companies. “And the BlueParrott B250-XT+ Wounded Warrior Project Edition was a natural way to get involved. We’re gratified that the project was such a success, and that we were able to contribute and make a difference in the lives of those men and women.”
“The wounds of war, both visible and invisible, can create challenges for our warriors as they transition back to civilian life. But every single day, thousands of wounded veterans receive the support and care that they need to live full and successful lives,” said Gary Corless, chief development officer at Wounded Warrior Project. “That is our commitment to the warriors, families, and caregivers that Wounded Warrior Project serves. We are extremely grateful to have organizations like VXi and DAS working with us. Their generosity ensures that we can continue to provide critical programs and services to those that we serve, at no cost, for a lifetime.”
