Slomin’s Inc. Expands the Reach of the Slomin’s Shield® by Launching Home Automation Products
Hicksville, NY (PRWEB) January 04, 2016 -- Slomin’s, a residential and commercial security company started in 1923, is now offering home automation products. These new products augment the capabilities of the Slomin’s Shield® security system for homes and businesses to allow customers to remotely control more aspects of their home, making their lives easier and more secure.
The smart home system includes devices that enhance the security system, so users can remotely turn on and off lights to create the appearance that someone is home, remotely check that their doors are locked and garage door is closed and lock them remotely, adjust the thermostat to reduce heating and cooling costs, and control appliances. The Slomin’s Shield® system, which includes both the security and smart home automation products, is available in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Georgia (Atlanta-area), and Florida.
The Slomin’s Shield® home automation system was created to give customers the most flexibility to live life the way they want. Senior Vice President Joel Liss said, “We are incredibly excited to launch our smart home control system. Slomin’s has been constantly innovating for over 90 years in order to remain competitive with other top companies. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we think that customers are going to love our new home automation system that simplifies their lives and makes their home more secure.”
Mr. Liss elaborated, “This system was designed with the customer in mind; we wanted to create a robust, flexible system that was also user friendly. Thus, with a few simple clicks, users can not only turn on and off devices, but they can also set up scenes in which devices work together automatically. For example, the lights could turn on by themselves once a motion detector is set off.”
Since the Slomin’s Shield® system is one unified system, the security and home automation parts work in tandem. Owners of existing Slomin’s Shield security systems will be able to simply add on smart home devices; they can use their existing control panels.
Furthermore, the control software for the home automation system, MyShield, which can be used as a website or as an app for iOS and Android, is the same software used for controlling the security portion of the system.
The advanced Slomin’s Shield® system still includes 24/7/365 central station monitoring by a private, in-house team of highly trained respondents.
