By intertwining a social issue into the business, an importance is placed on specific values that affect how you’re portrayed.

According to the Cozy blog released on December 30th 2015, the reasons businesses should consider taking environmental action can be categorized as 3 different types: must-have, ROI-driven, and human values-related initiatives.

Must-have initiatives relate to the ability to comply with the strict, yet necessary environmental regulations. Due to this obstacle that may have a greater effect on smaller businesses, it is thought to support other companies and their aggregation processes.

ROI initiatives are probably the most understood. “[They] tend to relate to the overall decline in energy consumption. In turn, the decrease in energy use further lessens the emission of greenhouse gases,” the Cozy blog explains.

The last of the three, revolves around the ability for a company to impact society. By intertwining a social issue into the business, an importance is placed on specific values that affect how you’re portrayed.

As the number of businesses that take advantage of green initiatives grow, the stronger the effect of fighting off climate change becomes. Taking action against the over-emission of greenhouse gas and fossil fuel use will have significant long-term benefits for the future.

Cozy Products, as a manufacturer of low wattage personal heaters, understands the importance of going green. Unlike standard space heaters, most Cozy Products only require as much energy as a standard light bulb to run—conserving both energy and money.
