iHealth, a technology leader in connected health announces it has been named a CES 2016 Innovation Award Honoree for its iHealth Rhythm, a 24 hour ECG monitor. Selected by a panel of independent industrial designers, independent engineers and members of the trade media, the iHealth Rhythm has been recognized for outstanding design and engineering in cutting edge electronics products under the category of Fitness, Sports and Biotech.
“iHealth is committed to a blueprint of empowering Healthcare professionals with accurate and efficient devices designed to improve patient care around the world. We’re delighted to be included in this elite selection of innovative products,” explains Uwe Diegel, CEO of iHealth Europe. “This recognition marks a turning point for the use of connected technology in the treatment of not only cardiac conditions but in many other medical areas; improving the lives of patients as well as providing healthcare professionals a greater insight into their patients’ condition.”
iHealth Rhythm, elegant, light and discrete
Consisting of a single ultra flat recorder that clips onto a consumable 3-electrode patch, iHealth Rhythm is positioned on the sternum of the patient and will monitor his cardiac activity over a period of up to 72 hours. This device can detect any anomaly or abnormal heart activity such as arrhythmia or atrial fibrillation during the monitoring period. If the patient feels an abnormal pain or event during the monitoring period, they can at any time press the event recorder button on the device and the anomaly will be precisely indicated on the ECG report.
Using the Bluetooth connection, the doctor can also view at any time, the ECG “live” using the iHealth PRO App, available on iPad. They can also access the complete ECG report by connecting the ECG to the iPad and share them with a specialized colleague if necessary.
Portable, small (10 cm) and lightweight (20g), iHealth Rhythm is invisible under clothing and is completely comfortable for both men and women.
The prestigious CES Innovation Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM, the producer of CES 2016, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.
