Mediaplanet today announces distribution of its latest cross-platform campaign, “Solving Hunger,” raising awareness around the global issue affecting 1 in 9 people worldwide, as well as the resources already available to help us fight hunger. The campaign aims to equip readers with necessary tools in the fight for lasting change but also, and more importantly, to inspire them to help lend a hand and give back to those in need.

The print component of “Solving Hunger” is distributed within USA Today in New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles, with a circulation of approximately 250,000 copies and an estimated readership of 750,000. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. Christina Aguilera graces the cover to voice her support for ending childhood hunger. As a seasoned U.N. World Food Programme ambassador and a mother, Aguilera speaks candidly about her recent relief trip to Ecuador, and how close the cause is to both her heart and her bloodline.

This campaign was made possible with the support of the World Food Program USA, Feeding America, Share Our Strength, The Hunger Project, the AARP Foundation, Citi Bank, ALEX AND ANI, Advisors Excel, the Children’s Hunger Fund, Columbia University: Center for Sustainable Investment and many others.
