Jersey City, NJ (PRWEB) January 06, 2016
Freeditorial.com, an online publisher of classic and contemporary literature, is excited to announce their annual literary contest.
“Writing is a very difficult industry to break into, so we want to make sure deserving writers get the recognition and exposure they need,” says company spokesperson Yolanda Montesinos. “This is why our contest is open to writers from around the world, and is highly interactive among both writers and readers. Entering the contest gives writers an audience that includes publishers and book agents.”
Submission are accepted from January 1, 2016, to June 30, 2016 with the award date for the winning entries set for Thanksgiving Day. Entries must be submitted online in Microsoft Word docx format. The contest is open for fiction and historical works, and all entries must be written in English. The writer can promote their story as they see fit to attract readers and increase their chances of winning the contest. Freeditorial takes an active role in helping the writers to promote their stories by giving each submitter an account and log in credentials so they can monitor their readership and develop promotional strategies.
“Freeditorial displays the submissions, ranking them in descending order of downloads so each writer knows exactly where they stand in the contest,” says Montesinos. “Winners are chosen by the combination of the number of downloads, the quality of their work and their creativity in promoting their story. We have methods in place to ensure a fair ranking system and to exclude repeated downloads from the same IP address.”
In addition to the invaluable exposure within the industry, writers compete for the $15,000 first prize, $5,000 second prize and $2,000 third prize.
