McLean, Virginia (PRWEB) January 06, 2016 -- VanGogh Imaging, Inc. today announced the introduction of its Starry Night-MR computer vision software. Starry Night-MR is a mixed reality enabling technology for augmented and virtual reality applications based on VanGogh’s proprietary 3D computer vision algorithm. Unlike other solutions that are based on 2D technology, Starry Night can handle dynamic real world environments with moving objects and changing lighting conditions.
VanGogh will be demonstrating Starry Night-MR at CES 2016, January 6-9, 2016. To view the demos or meet VanGogh vision experts, stop by booth #26532. A Windows version of the software will be available for purchase in February and will be priced at $99. Android or Linux versions will also be made available to OEMs with pricing based on volume requirements.
Starry Night-MR accurately superimposes graphics directly onto real objects and scenes. The software is tightly integrated with Orbbec’s world-class 3D depth sensing technology to provide the first complete and fully integrated plug-and-play solution for AR/VR. This solution allows AR/VR devices and applications to easily capture and track real-world objects in real-time.
“We’ve been working on computer vision projects for many years,” said Ken Lee, CEO of VanGogh. “Based on that experience, we have developed 3D vision technology specifically for augmented reality applications. Users will be able to easily create useable, reliable AR applications.”
