We are so excited to be able to offer our services as an in-network provider and minimize the cost to our clients

Chapter House Counseling Center based in Richardson, Texas, is pleased to announce that they have negotiated a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield as an in-network provider. This will provide more accessible and more affordable outpatient substance abuse treatment to individuals suffering from addiction. The services offered at Chapter House include an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, all of which are covered through the in-network contract. As an in-network provider, Chapter House will have the ability to reach more people afflicted with chemical dependency and expand their services to reach those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to get help.

“Traditionally, substance abuse treatment providers either do not take insurance or only provide services as an out-of-network provider,” states Heidi Voet Smith, the clinical director at Chapter House Counseling Center. “This is why we are so excited to be able to offer our services as an in-network provider and minimize the cost to our clients and their families.” Smith states that they chose to go in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield because they find that almost 75% of their clients have BCBS insurance. “Most of the clients we serve don’t qualify for state funded services, but can’t afford to pay completely out of pocket either – this increases our chances of being able to help the average family in the Dallas metroplex.”

Chapter House Counseling Center was established in late 2014 as a result of a huge need in the Dallas metroplex for an advanced outpatient provider. The team consists of an MD Psychiatrist, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Interns, and numerous 12 step volunteers. Chapter House Counseling Center holds a license for Intensive Outpatient Programming from the Texas Department of State Health Services. In addition, Chapter House Counseling Center is Licensed Clinical Training Institute with the Texas Department of State Health Services.
