Calling All Patients and Healthcare Professionals - Apply to Present at the 2016 Planetree International Conference on Patient-Centered Care
Derby, CT (PRWEB) January 07, 2016 -- Planetree, Inc. announced today it is accepting proposals for breakout sessions, poster presentations and experiential sessions to be presented at the 2016 International Conference on Patient-Centered Care to be held October 30-November 2, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.
Now in its 24th year, the International Conference on Patient-Centered Care emphasizes practical solutions for engaging with patients and families to transform how healthcare is delivered and how quality is defined. The conference’s emphasis on patient-centered care also extends to concrete strategies for creating supportive workplace cultures where healthcare professionals can re-discover the joy and purpose of working in the healthcare field.
As noted in the request for proposals, now active at http://planetree.org/rfp/ are being accepted for:
*30-minute Breakout Sessions: A presentation/Q&A style session highlighting a specific patient-centered solution that demonstrates impact and imparts tangible take-aways to the audience.
*30-minute Experiential Sessions: An interactive, hand-on session in which presenters demonstrate exercises designed to expand participants’ understanding of what it means to deliver and experience patient-centered care.
*Poster Presentations: A visual depiction of a patient-centered practice, structure or research project that will be displayed during a formal poster session.
Proposals are welcomed from anyone who interacts with the healthcare system, including frontline staff, clinicians, executives, researchers, technology developers, architects and designers, educators, patients and family members. Discounts off of conference registration will be offered to all presenters, and an additional discount will be made available for patient/family member presenters.
All proposals must be submitted on-line, and will be accepted through March 7, 2016. Selected proposals will be notified of acceptance in early April 2016.
