RF Technologies Appoints Steve Varga to the Newly Created Position of Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President

(PRWEB) January 08, 2016 -- RF Technologies, a leading provider of active radio frequency identification (RFID) and Wi-Fi RTLS Internet of Things (IoT) safety and security solutions for healthcare, education and hospitality, today announced that Steve Varga recently joined the company in the position of Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President. Varga brings diverse business and technical experience to the company, encompassing ground-breaking advancements in wireless data communications and software analytics; RTLS-based asset tracking, digital wireless video security/surveillance, M2M/IoT device and system architecture, and the development and maintenance of hosted enterprise software applications.
Varga was vice president of engineering and technology with the Climate, Controls & Security division of United Technologies Corp. (UTC) where he was a cornerstone in driving year-over-year, double-digit top and bottom line growth, attaining Six Sigma quality levels, and pioneering high-volume, cost-efficient, real-time wireless communication for the company’s major market segment. Prior, he served Cobham PLC’s Surveillance & Security division as vice president of engineering & custom product operations. Varga started his career in the air-to-air missile defense sector and moved on to the consumer electronics industry where he led the development of the first commercially viable digital cordless telephone and the industry’s first cellular data modem. Since, he has pioneered the development of system solutions for highly recognized companies, including Coca-Cola, FedEx, Bank of America, Maytag and others.
Varga received his BSEE from the University of Lowell at Raytheon and was selected for advanced leadership training at the prestigious MIT Sloan School. Professional affiliations include the IEEE, SAE, and the American Society of Quality (ASQ). He has been active in the New Hampshire High Technology Council , is a frequent public speaker on wireless technology trends, and is a proud contributor to the US FIRST robotics program.
