Wimbledon Health Partners Joins the National Athletic Trainers’ Association as a Corporate Member
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) January 11, 2016 -- Wimbledon Health Partners, the industry leader in on-site diagnostic testing for physicians and athletic programs, is pleased to announce the company’s corporate membership in the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). Wimbledon Athletics, the athletic testing division of Wimbledon Health Partners, is committed to working with athletic trainers across the country to test young athletes for asymptomatic cardiac abnormalities to reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death. Through its partnership with NATA, Wimbledon Athletics joins more than 43,000 members who support the athletic training profession.
Wimbledon Athletics showcased its corporate membership at the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association (EATA), held January 8-11, 2016 in Boston. The meeting represented an opportunity for Wimbledon Athletics’ staff to talk with athletic trainers and sports medicine professionals in the eastern U.S. about the importance of implementing a comprehensive cardiac testing program at their high schools, colleges, and universities to detect heart abnormalities in their athletes that can cause sudden cardiac arrest.
Through its corporate membership, Wimbledon Athletics forges a stronger relationship with NATA members who are passionate about their work and dedicated to the health and safety of their athletes. Focusing on testing athletes of high school and college age for potentially life-threatening heart abnormalities is a way for the two organizations, together, to help ensure young athletes are heart healthy and safely participating in sports activities.
