The collaboration between Provance and AlfaPeople helps our mutual customers move to the cloud with an IT Service Management solution for Microsoft platforms.
Gatineau, Quebec (PRWEB) January 19, 2016
Provance® today announced the immediate availability of Provance IT Service Management. The only IT service management (ITSM) software solution that runs natively on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, Provance IT Service Management allows the use of existing investments in Microsoft to manage the delivery of IT services. Available online or on premises, Provance IT Service Management is a PinkVERIFY™ 2011 ITIL® accredited solution that enables the management of services delivered from heterogeneous IT infrastructure across hybrid environments.
Provance IT Service Management is the first product resulting from a merger in December that saw the transfer of software product and supporting personnel from AlfaPeople’s ITSM division to Provance in exchange for equity. The new Provance solution features enhancements to the original AlfaPeople ITSM product that now combines the two companies’ respective expertise in Microsoft System Center and Microsoft Dynamics CRM to deliver IT service management built and optimized for the Microsoft platform.
Provance IT Service Management is delivered as a business application powered by Dynamics CRM and runs natively on the Microsoft cloud platform. As such, it takes advantage of the performance, security and reliability of Dynamics CRM, rich interoperation with Microsoft Office 365, Power BI and other Microsoft productivity tools, and enables extensive configuration without a single line of code.
The new release also introduces out-of-the-box Microsoft connectors to import configuration item details from System Center Configuration Manager and user data from Active Directory. Drawing on the 18-year Provance legacy as an independent vendor of IT asset management software, new capabilities for hardware and software management have been added and fully integrated with IT service management.
“Provance and AlfaPeople have each distinguished themselves as Microsoft partners with expertise in System Center and Dynamics,” said Jeremy Winter, Partner Director Program Management Microsoft. “The collaboration between Provance and AlfaPeople helps our mutual customers move to the cloud with an IT Service Management solution for Microsoft platforms. It represents a unique partner initiative integrating cloud offerings that bridge productivity, business processes and intelligent cloud segments.”
Provance IT Service Management is available through the existing Provance global partner channel and the global Dynamics channel. Visit http://www.Provance.com for further information.
Provance has been an independent vendor of IT management software since 1997. In 2010, Provance became the first company to develop and sell a third-party process management pack for Microsoft System Center, a first-of-its-kind plug-in to bring IT asset management and software asset management to Service Manager, the new IT service management component of the Microsoft IT management platform. The product innovation earned the company a nomination as one of three finalists for Microsoft Partner of the Year – Software Asset Management in 2011. Subsequently, Provance has developed additional products to enhance the native IT service management capabilities of Microsoft System Center – Service Manager. In addition to its individual products, Provance has also collaborated with other partners to create The Suite and The Essentials – two packaged collections of enhancements that supplement and extend the native IT service management functionality of Service Manager. In December 2015, AlfaPeople and Provance entered into a merger that brought AlfaPeople’s ITSM division software product and supporting personnel and assets to Provance in exchange for equity. Operating under the Provance name, the company now specializes in the development and sale of software that is built specifically to provide IT Service Management capabilities on Microsoft platforms.
