Mediware: Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities to use Mediware as its Statewide Client Data Management System
Lenexa, KS (PRWEB) January 14, 2016 -- Mediware Information Systems Inc., a leading supplier of software for healthcare providers and human service organizations, announced that the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD) selected Harmony to be the statewide client data management system to support its waiver program for the developmentally disabled, which serves more than 20,000 enrolled consumers.
Mediware’s purpose-built Harmony suite, for home- and community-based long-term services and supports, will be used by the state agency, regional offices, and service providers throughout Florida. The system combines enterprise-level case and financial management capabilities with analytics to facilitate oversight and monitoring while measuring outcomes. In addition, APD will use Harmony’s new mobile applications to record service deliveries in real time, which will help monitor service delivery performance and minimize fraud, waste and abuse.
“Using Harmony Waiver Management to manage the coordination and delivery of home- and community-based services across Florida’s developmentally-disabled population directly supports APD’s mission,” said Todd Bransford, general manager of Mediware Human and Social Services. “Mediware is pleased to welcome Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities to our growing list of human services organizations that have placed their trust in us to assist them in providing necessary services to a vulnerable population.”
Mediware’s integrated care system met APD’s need to enhance oversight; streamline business processes; eliminate duplication; increase positive service delivery; identify fraud, waste and abuse; and facilitate the real-time exchange of information. Once implemented, the system will allow the state to track, measure, report and provide quality improvement processes for 32 specific performance measures to help ensure APD fulfills federal funding requirements.
