NeoSpeech’s Text-to-Speech Gives a Voice to the World’s Smartest Helmet
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) January 14, 2016 -- NeoSpeech, one of the world’s leading providers of text-to-speech software, today announces their partnership with Skully, the producers of the first vertically integrated smart Heads Up Display helmet for consumers.
The Skully Helmet is the first of its kind; an intelligent motorcycle helmet. The helmet not only protects the rider in case of an accident but also enables access to functions never before available while riding a motorcycle. The helmet allows riders to see behind them using a rear-view mirror, use GPS, to listen to music and call a friend. In order to do these tasks, the helmet must be able to communicate with the rider, which is where NeoSpeech’s text-to-speech steps in.
NeoSpeech provides the high quality voice of the helmet. The text-to-speech software is integrated into the system to enable the helmet to provide directions, tell the rider they are receiving a call, and more. Skully had a choice of 30 voices in 7 languages, so chose NeoSpeech’s male UK English voice, Hugh, to personify their brand experience within the helmet. The British voice adds a level of class and sophistication to the riding experience.
“This is the future of text-to-speech” says Devin Lee, the CEO of NeoSpeech. “Text-to-speech software enables consumers to communicate with technology in a way that minimizes potential harm and increases efficiency of operations. NeoSpeech is proud to work with Skully to bring to market an innovative new product that will help save lives and enhance the motorcycle riding experience.”
NeoSpeech specializes in providing high quality Text-to-Speech solutions for a range of applications, from CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems to e-learning platforms and more. Now, their Text-to-Speech (TTS) software is being used to enhance the safety of motorcyclists all over the world and bring motorcycle helmets into a new digital age.
The Skully helmet was originally funded through a very successful crowdfunding campaign in late 2014, raising over $1 million in 3 days and over $2 million in total to start production. The first batch of helmets has been produced and the company began shipping helmet to backers at the end of 2015.
