Organizations migrating to Microsoft Office 365 can now manage both live mailbox and archive projects far more easily thanks to new technology from QUADROtech. ArchiveShuttle 7.3 and MailboxShuttle 1.1 automatically work together to manage the entire process. Critical migrations can be safely completed faster, more cost-effectively, and with less risk of interruption to the business as operators no longer need to juggle multiple tools.
Many organizations migrate legacy archives into Office 365 as part of their email migration projects, but until now separate tools have been needed to manage each phase. The new process creates a single schedule, defined in MailboxShuttle. This generates objects in Office 365 for each account and hands them off so that archive data can be migrated into them by ArchiveShuttle. Because both products use QUADROtech’s Sync’n’Switch technology, physical migration is completed with no interruption to users. Once data has been ingested into Office 365, users are seamlessly switched over to the new platform. Existing dependencies between live mail and the archive information are preserved, avoiding the problem of Office 365 not recognizing EV shortcuts. A common, web-based interface keeps operators and users informed throughout the migration.
