Riviera Maya, Mexico (PRWEB) January 15, 2016
Mexico’s “Beyond All-Inclusive, Beyond All Compare” Grand Velas Riviera Maya treats guests to a taste of the Yucatan’s past with its new Grand Velas Cocktail showcasing local Mayan flare. The cocktail features Xtabentun, a Mayan liqueur with honey infused from the native Xtabentun flower. The Xtabentun flower and liqueur are common elements in a variety of Mayan legends that have been passed down generation after generation. Guests staying at the AAA Five Diamond resort are able to sip on the Grand Velas cocktail at the resort’s rooftop Sky Bar while enjoying radiant sunsets and panoramic views of the azure Caribbean waters. Guests unable to travel to Mexico but wish to taste the Mayan tales are able to make the Grand Velas cocktail at home with the following recipe:
The Grand Velas Cocktail Recipe
1 ½ oz Xtabentun Mayan Liqueur
4 cubes Pineapple
½ cup Club Soda
2 Ice Cubes
1 Orange slice
2 Tbs Lime Juice
First, pour the lime juice and the Xtabentun Mayan liqueur in a glass with ice. Then, add the pineapple cubes and stir. Finally pour club soda on top and garnish with an orange slice. Enjoy!
