Washington, DC (PRWEB) January 18, 2016 -- The Cipher Brief, the go-to digital platform for the latest national security news and high-level analysis, is pleased to announce that Walter Pincus has joined its team.
Pincus, a veteran journalist and widely-respected entity in the national security and defense space, will move his weekly column, Fine Print, to the The Cipher Brief beginning in February 2016.
"I’m beyond thrilled to welcome Walter to The Cipher Brief team,” said CEO and Publisher Suzanne Kelly. “Walter’s adeptness at communicating the nuance and complexity of national security issues is unmatched. He has a keen ability to strip away the political drivers and help readers understand what’s really at stake in confronting our most pressing security issues.”
Pincus spent forty years at The Washington Post, writing on topics from nuclear weapons to politics. In 2002, he and a team of Post reporters won the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting. He also won an Emmy in 1981 and the 2010 Arthur Ross Award from the American Academy for Diplomacy.
“I look forward to continuing to write my Fine Print column and other articles as part of The Cipher Brief's journalistic effort to disclose and discuss what's important in the areas of foreign policy, defense and intelligence,” said Pincus.
Pincus has been writing his national security column since 2010, covering defense, intelligence, politics and foreign policy. It will debut on The Cipher Brief on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2016.
