Celebrated golfing athlete Mike Thompson has been selected for a sponsorship with premium lifestyle apparel company Black Clover. Thompson was seen sporting his new Black Clover gear at the Sony Open in Hawaii this past week.
Thompson has been interested in golf since he fell in love with it as a child. He competed in the U.S. Amateur in 2004, 2006, and 2007, and was the Low Amateur at the 2008 US Open. Thompson finished his amateur career ranked #1 in the world.
Since then, he has played the pro circuit, with multiple entries in the PGA TOUR. In 2011, Thompson placed 4th in the Traveler’s Championship. Thompson also tied for 6th place in the 2012 Sony Open and tied for 2nd place in the 2012 US Open.
