The Cliffs, a collection of seven private luxury mountain and lake communities in the western Carolinas, was honored by GOLF Magazine as one of the “25 Best Golf Communities in North America,” announced in the February 2016 issue. Located between two of the nation’s most award-winning cities for quality of life - Greenville, South Carolina and Asheville, North Carolina, The Cliffs offers one of the most diverse memberships in the country, including seven championship golf courses and an unparalleled array of lifestyle amenities that enhance the member experience.

“It is an honor to be acknowledged by GOLF Magazine as one of the top golf communities in North America. We are thrilled to receive recognition for our spectacular golf courses, amazing staff, as well as the countless amenities offered at The Cliffs that provide a well-rounded lifestyle,” said The Cliffs Managing Partner David Sawyer. “We feel confident in saying that no other master-planned private community in the country offers the value of a membership as found at The Cliffs.”

Members of The Cliffs have access to all amenities within the seven communities through a single, all-encompassing club membership. This opens the doors to a collection of seven diverse and award-winning championship courses, designed by top golf architects and designers including Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Jackson and Ben Wright. Set within the scenic backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, each course is member-friendly yet challenging and uniquely designed to complement its landscape and environment. The newest offering, the Gary Player-designed Cliffs at Mountain Park golf course, opened Fall 2013 and was named to GOLF’s prestigious list of best new private courses in the same year.

The Cliffs experience extends far beyond golf with a full suite of amenities that focus on wellness and active living. With six wellness centers, more than fifty restaurant and private event venues, clubhouses, a marina, beach club, tennis complexes, an equestrian center, miles of hiking trails, wine clubs, an organic farm and a number of year-round social activities, there is an activity to suit all ages and interests.
