Crescent Harbor Modern Now Offering Complimentary Shipping to Canada on Orders over $250

In an effort to help ease the burden of customers' shipping costs, an industry leader in providing top-of-the-line lighting fixtures, is now waiving shipping costs for customers in Canada for orders over a certain dollar amount.

Representatives with Crescent Harbor Modern (https://crescentharbormodern.com/) announced today that the company will now ship orders of $250 or more to Canada at no cost.

“We’re very excited to be able to waive the cost of shipping on orders over $250 for our customers in Canada,” said Tim Fossett, president and spokesperson for Crescent Harbor Modern, which is the online arm of The Lighthouse, a family-owned lighting company founded in 1972.

Fossett explained that Canadian orders generally ship via UPS, however, if customers want their order to be shipped through the US Postal Service, all customers have to do is make a note requesting this in the comment section when placing their order.

“As long as the item(s) ordered meet the post office's size requirements we will ship the item via postal service,” Fossett said, before adding, “Canadian shipments may be subject to Brokerage, Duty and Taxes which will be charged by the shipper at the time of delivery. As we are not a customs agent we cannot quote these costs. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.”

Fossett went on to point out that Express shipping is also available on most items.

“If you wish to have an item shipped via expedited shipping please contact us directly,” Fossett said. “Items shipped by truck freight will need to have an authorized person over 18 years of age to receive/sign for the shipment. Generally, the trucking company will call the receiving party prior to delivery to determine an appropriate window of time for delivery.”

The company spokesman noted that it is important that customers count and inspect all of the items that they received on the truck and that all items are accounted for when signing for the package in the event that a package was damaged or misplaced in transit. Fossett went on to advise customers to not sign for the shipment until they know that it is complete and delivered in good condition.

“If there is a shortage or the shipment is partially damaged, please inform the driver that you were shorted an item or items were damaged or you will not be able to make a freight claim with the trucking company,” Fossett said. “If you receive a short shipment of damaged shipment please contact us immediately.”
