The Reading Room Teams Up With The People's Choice Awards For 'Favorite Books 2016' Online Vote

Fans can cast their votes in six different book categories including Fiction, Fantasy, and Romance.

“We’re thrilled to partner with a curated book community like The Reading Room," said People's Choice President, Fred Nelson.

The Reading Room is proud to partner with the People’s Choice Awards to kick off a “Favorite Book” online vote, celebrating some of the best books published in 2015 across a wide variety of genres. Voting is now live on TheReadingRoom.com, where fans can cast their votes in six different book categories including Fiction, Fantasy, and Romance.

Nominees for the “Favorite Book” online vote include the bestselling title The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins in the Fiction category, and works from celebrity authors Mindy Kaling and Aziz Ansari in Nonfiction. Sue Grafton's X was acknowledged in the Crime & Mystery category, while both Nora Roberts and E.L. James’ latest installments received nods in Romance.

“This is the beginning of a great partnership that we hope will build year on year and be a great way for viewers and readers to discover new books,” said Kim Anderson, CEO of The Reading Room.

“The People’s Choice Awards celebrates many genres of popular culture, so enabling fans to choose their favorite books is a natural extension for us,” said People’s Choice President, Fred Nelson. “We’re thrilled to partner with a curated book community like The Reading Room.”

The full list of nominees can be viewed at the TheReadingRoom.com, and also at PeoplesChoice.com, the official website of the annual awards show. Members can vote for their favorite books published in 2015 by category, which includes Fiction, Crime & Mystery, Young Adult, Fantasy, Romance and Nonfiction. Voting ends on January 28, 2016.
