mFinity, the mFrontiers platform for Enterprise Mobility Management and the Internet of Things, was demonstrated at Oracle CloudWorld 2016 in Seoul, South Korea
Libertyville, Illinois (PRWEB) January 22, 2016 -- mFrontiers LLC, recipient of an Oracle Excellence Award in 2015 as Cloud ISV Partner of the Year – North America, has expanded the reach of its mFinity® platform. Originally released as mFinity EMMP, an Oracle-based platform for Enterprise Mobility Management, mFrontiers has evolved the platform into mFinity IoT, to provide monitoring, control, and data collection for the Internet of Things.
At Oracle CloudWorld, held in Seoul, South Korea on January 19, 2016, engineers and business development representatives discussed use-cases and displayed connected products using the mFinity IoT and EMMP platforms. They highlighted how customers use the platforms to deploy, secure, and manage devices and data, and how the collected data can be utilized using Oracle’s Analytics and Big Data solution offerings.
DBValley displayed a pool pump motor, connected to the Internet using the mFinity IoT platform to facilitate monitoring, control, data collection, and analytics. The pump was a V-Green Variable Speed Product, connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi through a V-Link Wireless Adapter. The pump is built by Century Electric Motors, a subsidiary of electronic motor manufacturer Regal Beloit, an mFrontiers customer based in Beloit, Wisconsin.
The pump’s motor has sensors with the ability to register over 100 data points and collect data on both internal and external functioning. Optimal Design, a member of the mFrontiers Partner Network based in Arlington Heights, Illinois, integrated the sensors and the mFinity IoT agent into the motor and designed and developed the device’s Wi-Fi Internet connectivity.
Daniel Pahng, President and CEO of mFrontiers said, “We were amazed by the level of interest we received. We had eight times the number of attendees who were expected to view our mobility and IoT solutions.”
