International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Françoise Gilbert will be speaking at the Annual Meeting of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. The all-day event will take place Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Gilbert will be addressing recent developments in international data protection and security, focusing on the impending adoption of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. She will discuss, in particular, how this paradigm shifting legislation will impact U.S organizations and how to prepare for the overhaul of the EU data protection regime.

Gilbert, a shareholder in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, focuses her practice on U.S. and global data privacy and security in a wide variety of markets, including, among others, Internet, cloud computing, big data, connected devices, robots, and other emerging technologies.
