Society of Decorative Painters Announces 44th Annual International Conference & Expo—An Artful Journey
Wichita, KS (PRWEB) January 22, 2016 -- (January2016) – The Society of Decorative Painters’ (SDP) 44th Annual International Conference & Expo, “An Artful Journey,” will be returning to the Town and Country Resort and Convention in San Diego, CA, June 6-11, 2016. The SDP International Conference & Expo is open to all consumers and professionals who are interested in painting and will feature hands-on learning, exhibits, a first look at the inaugural entries of the newly Accredited Decorative Painters, as well as a juried art show.
The SDP Conference offers over 90 painting classes from well-known and respected decorative painting teachers, representing oil, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencils, mixed media, and more for all skill levels. New this year is a series of two hour beginner workshops, which are designed for the novice painter who is looking to learn basic painting skills in a fun, social environment.
Headlining this year’s Conference is, Debbie Cole CDA, a self-taught decorative painter and mixed media artist who has authored numerous books and pattern packets, contributed to leading decorative arts and mixed media publications, and taught throughout the United States, Japan, Argentina, and Canada. “There is something very special about the SDP Conference and its classes,” says Cole. “Perhaps it is the excitement in the air along with the top teachers in our industry. I have always found the quality of the classes to be outstanding.”
The SDP Expo will feature vendors selling a variety of paint supplies and finished goods, appealing to all skill levels and techniques including younger crafters, artisans and creative enthusiasts across the world. Attendees can shop for pattern packets, paper crafts, decoupage, painting surfaces, paint, frames and mats, mat-cutters, organizers, paper palettes, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, ink pens, chalkboard paint, nail art, calligraphy, new products, finished products and more.
