The Hartford Business Journal and Department of Energy & Environmental Protection are now accepting applications for the GreenCircle Sustainability Awards.
The GreenCircle Sustainability Awards celebrates those who take a coordinated and holistic approach to reducing their environmental impact and resource demands of their operations and activities.
Any business, institution, individual or group operating or living in the state of Connecticut is encouraged to apply.
Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Project describes multi-faceted sustainability initiatives;
- Demonstration of results from project (documentation must be available upon request);
- Project demonstrates permanent change(s) to processes and ongoing environmental benefits; and
- Signed certification that the information provided in the application is true and accurate.

Applications for the GreenCircle Sustainability Award Program must be received by Feb. 15, 2016 for
project activities completed between Jan. 1, 2015 and Dec. 31, 2015.
The Hartford Business Journal will host award winners at a special recognition ceremony in May 2016.
