Kurt Kokko Joins SignalSense as Chief Technology Officer

Walt Disney Company Veteran And Industry Visionary With Nearly Three Decades of Experience in Network Architecture, Operations and Security Joins Next-Generation Enterprise Security Start-Up

SignalSense (http://www.signalsense.com), which is increasing the fidelity and value of security detection using machine learning, today announced that Kurt Kokko has joined the organization as Chief Technology Officer.

Kokko brings 28 years of experience on the customer side of network architecture, operations and security to the creation of a product designed to meet today’s demanding needs for security visibility in enterprise networks.

Most recently, at the Walt Disney Company, Mr. Kokko was responsible for the architecture of network operations and security to support Disney’s transition to the use of private and public cloud infrastructure for application delivery. Prior to that he managed the network engineering team responsible for the architecture, engineering, operations and security of the online content properties. During his eight-year tenure at Disney, Kokko’s technology expertise touched every aspect of the company’s business, including delivery traffic for ESPN, ABC, Parks and Resorts, Disney Shopping, The Disney Channel, the Disney Studios and Disney Interactive.

Prior to Disney, Kokko oversaw the Network Services team at Getty Images. Before Getty, Mr. Kokko owned a consulting firm providing high-level network consulting services to enterprise and telecommunications companies. He also co-founded LightRealm Communications, which developed one of the first virtual machine technologies for Web hosting. LightRealm serviced over 800,000 domains and was purchased in a strategic acquisition.

Meeting the New Enterprise Security Challenges
