Columbia Fertility Associates Salutes Active Duty Military and Reservists with Increased Discounts on IVF and IUI Infertility Treatments
Washington D.C. (PRWEB) January 26, 2016 -- Columbia Fertility Associates (CFA) today announced a substantial discount of 25 percent on In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) treatment packages for active duty military and reservists.
The discount is available for eligible self-pay patients at all CFA clinics, including its Washington DC, Bethesda, MD and Arlington, VA locations. Patients must have current military identification.
“At CFA, we are committed to honoring the men and women who serve in the United States military and are supporting these individuals by providing access to state-of-the-art fertility treatments,” said Safa Rifka, M.D., F.A.C.O.G., Columbia Fertility Associates. “For some, starting a family is part of the healing process and fertility treatment may be medically necessary. Offering discounted IVF and IUI to our military personnel is our way of giving back to them.”
Active duty U.S. military and reservists, who are not able to conceive naturally due to combat injuries or other factors, often pay for the costly treatments out of their own pockets.
“My husband served in the United States Army Special Forces and after 25 years of service to our country, we were hoping to start a family,” said Columbia Fertility Associates patient RC. “We planned ahead for financial stability before trying to conceive, but we never dreamed we would be battling the financial burden of infertility before we ever got there. For over four years, we have been trying and each step we take gets more expensive. We are so thankful for Columbia Fertility Associates for honoring military men and women by providing us with a more affordable option and helping us get one step closer to our dreams of starting a family.”
In addition, as members of ASRM (American Society of Reproductive Medicine)/SART (Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology), CFA is a proud participant in the “Serving our Veterans” program, providing discounted infertility treatment packages to our military veterans.
“Like many Americans, we have been frustrated by Congressional gridlock,” said Brad Van Voorhis MD, President of SART. “While we wait for Congress to act, our member clinics have chosen to try to improve the situation. Our government should do better by our veterans. Until it does, the nation’s infertility doctors are going to try to offer some help.”
To learn more about these special program offerings, interested couples and individuals can contact CFA financial counselors in DC (202.293.6567), Arlington (703.525.4776) or Bethesda (301.897.8850).
