Steelyard — the pioneering online platform for enabling commerce between professional designers and leading brands — welcomes Jane Dagmi as Editorial Director. Ms. Dagmi will oversee content strategy and public communications for the design industry’s premier online specification tool and project management platform, previously known as TODL.
“After two years and millions of dollars invested in our new web and mobile platform, we move forward with our 2016 initiatives including very exciting launches of new sections, features and tools for both our brands and design industry members,” said Stacey Tiveron, Founder of Steelyard. “In addition to these launches, a primary focus for us in 2016 is elevating how we engage with the industry at large. We are thrilled to have Jane lead a range of online and in-person initiatives.”
Dagmi was Editor at Large for Country Living Magazine for more than 15 years, writing and producing articles, styling photo shoots, identifying market trends and facilitating industry connections. Moving into both the digital and print world of media, she transitioned into writing, marketing and visual merchandising for multiple industry brands including Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, Luxe Magazine, Benjamin Moore, Bob Vila and others. Dagmi then parlayed her experience into her position as Communications Manager at Parlore, an iPad app for interior designers.
“You take an 18-year-old design industry hub like Steelyard, energized with a new state of the art technology platform, and you've got this forward-thinking hybrid of longevity and innovation that is unique and exciting,” said Dagmi. “I'm here to build on that foundation utilizing our greatest assets — our vast range of designer members, vendor brands and industry partners — to create new, relevant and inspiring content."
Ms. Dagmi holds an AAS degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design and a BA in American Studies.
