Property inventory and inspection reporting software, InventoryBase, has today announced the launch of its new transcription service ‘Audio Transcript’.
The new service aims to provide inventory clerks and property professionals with a fast and simple concierge service for transcribing their audio dictations into a completed written report using the InventoryBase app.
Managing director Steve Rad: “From our research we were finding inventory clerks visiting many properties in a week were taking too much time at each property when completing written reports. The ability to speak and dictate the conditions of rooms and items throughout the property into an audio recorder and then playback at their own convenience is a huge time saver. We’re also proud to be able to offer this new service at a lower cost option in comparison to other apps.”
Audio Transcript allows inventory clerks to use the built-in audio recorder or even a third party Dictaphone and then play back the audio files to themselves to write up their own reports, send the audio files to a third party to transcribe or allocate it to another InventoryBase user to work on.
“The rise in smartphones and tablets with Apps like InventoryBase is certainly increasing the need for inventory clerks to find a balance between the time spent on-site to have reports completed before they leave the property against added time they have to spend later on completing reports and arranging photos manually. Obviously clerks would prefer to have their reports completed at the property but for those who have to visit several properties per day/week, time is a huge factor so we believe Audio Transcript will streamline operations for many,” concluded Steve.
