Intalere, formerly Amerinet, today announced the company has been selected by the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network (ICAHN) as the preferred group purchasing organization (GPO) for ICAHN’s 54 member hospitals.

“We have been involved with Intalere since 2007 and have always valued their high level of engagement and collaboration,” said Curt Zimmerman, director of Business Services and Development, ICAHN. “Their unique position now as a provider-led GPO brings an even deeper level of value, and we are excited to offer that to our members.”

ICAHN is a not-for-profit corporation established in 2003 for the purpose of sharing resources and education, promoting efficiency and best practices, and improving healthcare services for member critical access hospitals and their rural communities in Illinois.

Intalere will serve ICAHN members as a resource for cost reduction and supply chain management in traditional as well as other non-labor spend areas. The partnership also offers ICAHN members access to Intalere alliances to further assist in cost reduction and enhanced patient care.

“ICAHN has long been a vital resource to small rural hospitals in Illinois, and we look forward to helping the organization in strengthening and ensuring the sustainability of their member hospitals through this partnership,” said Jason Baumgartner, Chief Sales Officer, Intalere.
