Invest in the USA (IIUSA), the national not-for-profit industry trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program (the “Program”), recently announced its 2016 webinar series schedule for the first quarter. Held regularly each month, the webinars cover topics of concern and interest to the EB-5 industry. In addition, IIUSA will host member-only advocacy-focused webinars each quarter to foster stakeholder engagement on government and public affairs initiatives.
“Now in its third full year, IIUSA’s is excited to once again host its month webinar series in 2016,” said IIUSA Executive Director Peter D. Joseph. “The webinar series, designed to educate and inform the EB-5 stakeholder community on the industry’s most pressing topics, will be better than ever, featuring a diverse roster of the industry’s foremost experts on immigration and securities law as well as Regional Center operations.”
Topics that will be covered in quarter one will be Securities & EB-5: Regional Center Project Case Studies & SEC Enforcement Actions on January 28, EB-5 Regional Center Compliance: A Systemic Approach to Long Term Success on February 25, and Best Practices: Working with Sales Intermediaries in an EB-5 Transaction on March 10. The first quarter webinar series is sponsored by Todd Associates Inc., a provider of EB-5 Regional Center insurance solutions.
IIUSA will also host the first of its quarterly advocacy webinars in February. These advocacy-focused webinars are designed to keep members abreast of developments related to efforts to forge a long-term reauthorization of the EB-5 Program beyond its September 30, 2016 “sunset date”. Led by IIUSA’s government and public affairs representation, these webinars will review key pieces of legislation and provide suggestions for how EB-5 stakeholders can help positively influence the political process.
Webinars for quarter two (April-June) will be announced in March. To review the schedule and register for upcoming webinars, visit iiusa.org/webinars.
