TEQ Acquires Fremont Plastics Extending Medical Custom Thermoforming Market
Huntley, IL (PRWEB) January 29, 2016 -- TEQ, Thermoform Engineering Quality announced the acquisition of Fremont Plastics in Fremont, Indiana, a purchase which fits TEQ’s mold in a number of vital ways. “We’re very excited about acquiring Fremont,” said Randy Loga, President.
“Fremont has a long legacy of manufacturing high quality products for the medical packaging markets, this expands our largest market segment and our commitment to serving medical device manufacturers,” said Loga. “Customers will benefit greatly from the combined expertise of our two companies,” he added. Finally, “customers will appreciate increased TEQ capacity and redundancy with the addition of our plant located in Fremont, Indiana, famous for the Fremont Plastics company.”
Fremont is a mid-size custom-thermoforming company with a 40,000 sq. ft. facility housing two state of the art clean rooms that run six thermoforming lines. Fremont produces medical trays, medical packaging and light handle covers. “Fremont’s experience of manufacturing sterile light handle covers for major medical customers was of particular interest to TEQ.”
“We were attracted to Fremont because of their exciting and compatible product line,” said Loga, “especially the chance to add more thermoform medical products (like light handle covers) to the products we already manufacture.” TEQ also manufactures disposable probe covers for the Braun infrared ear thermometer—number one in the world.
“With the Fremont acquisition, the entire TEQ team is thrilled about new marketing opportunities for us in the custom thermoforming marketplace,” said Loga. “The fact that we can manufacture medical products and medical packaging puts us in a unique class and makes us better at both. It allows us the ability to sustain the exacting standards and quality TEQ demands for success with precision.”
