Bowers will play a pivotal role connecting with DCP’s existing clients and new prospective customers. She will be responsible for U.S. domestic sales in several business-to-business categories with a focus on the healthcare industry.
Bowers brings more than 25 years of media sales experience in various categories, such as diversity and inclusion, parenting, food and wine, lifestyle, and special interest media. Bowers possesses valuable connections and a varied industry perspective that will assist DCP in developing future publishing projects.
Prior to joining DCP publishing, she was an independent publishers representative, working with Barbara Bella & Associates as West Coast Account Director for Working Mother Media and Diversity Best Practices (DBP). In that role she was responsible for national advertising sales for Working Mother Magazine, as well as sales and development of memberships, sponsorships, and consulting for DBP. Prior to that position, under the Bowers Media Sales umbrella, she sold advertising for a variety of publications such as Women’s Sports and Fitness, Sports Illustrated for Women, and Smithsonian Magazine. Bowers also serves on the Board of the Walnut Creek Aquanuts as Publicity Chair and V.P. Sponsorships.
