Restaurant technology startup BlueCart today announces the launch of an entirely new app designed to address the needs of Sales Reps in the food industry. The aptly named “Sales Rep App, by BlueCart” is the latest addition to the company’s full suite of mobile and web applications built to improve relationships between restaurants and suppliers.

“Sales Reps are absolutely essential to the restaurant – supplier relationship, and they deserve an app that works for them,” said BlueCart Co-Founder and CEO Konstantin Zvereff. “This new app is like a secret weapon for Sales Reps. It allows them to add orders on behalf of clients, see order histories, and manage client communication, all from their phone—and all at no cost.”

Co-Founder Jag Bansal adds, “Reps in the restaurant industry are almost always on the move, and even having to open up a laptop slows them down. With BlueCart, they no longer have to search for wifi to place orders on behalf of clients, and they can see everything they need to know about their customers right on their phone.”

Since raising $4M in funding from BlueRun Ventures in July, BlueCart has opened new offices in San Francisco, New York, and Washington D.C. and more than doubled its staff to cope with exponential growth. Efforts have been focused on gathering user feedback and building out the core product based on that research. The Sales Rep App is a direct result of conversations with hundreds of people across the food industry, and the culmination of almost a full year of engineering work.

Over four thousand restaurants and suppliers are already on the BlueCart platform, allowing them to send and receive orders, communicate via in-app messaging, and view order histories and automatically generated data analytics. Now, Sales Reps are able to access those same tools anytime, anywhere.

The Sales Rep App is BlueCart's third major product offering, following on the heels of specific, linked platforms designed for both restaurants and suppliers. BlueCart operates all of its services free of charge, with plans to add premium features coming soon.
