Manhattan Facial Plastic Surgeon Sam Rizk, MD Pioneers New Lip Lift Procedures
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 01, 2016 -- More Millennials are flocking to the plastic surgeon’s office according to a new survey by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). The survey reveals that 64% of members saw an increase in cosmetic procedures in patients under age 30 last year.
What’s trending? The potential influence of reality TV as in the Kylie Jenner effect. Interest in lip enhancement is surging among young patients. New York facial plastic surgeon and AAFPRS member Sam Rizk, MD, FACS has seen an increase in the demand for lip procedures in his Manhattan practice.
“Full, pillowy lips are often associated with increased sexuality in our subconscious,” says Dr. Rizk. “With the lips, unlike the rest of the face, it’s not always about looking younger, but achieving better facial balance for a more classically beautiful appearance.”
Lips play a crucial role in the appearance of the face. To restore a more desirable, diamond shape Dr. Rizk has developed a revolutionary Lip Lift procedure to put the plump back in an off-balance pucker. A lip lift can correct a host of issues, including an upper lip that is too long and enhance the pink portion of the lip, for a fuller appearance. The procedure also lifts the lip’s position with regard to the teeth, creating a broader smile. Depending on individual patient lip shape and goals, Dr. Rizk has four signature lifts, including the gull-wing lip lift, bull-horn lip lift, corner lip lift and Italian lip lift, to correct a gamut of issue.
“The advantage of a lip lift procedure over injections is that if it's done well, you can't tell, whereas, overfilled lips can cause a distorted appearance,” says Dr. Rizk. “Lifted lips look more youthful and shapely, and we can achieve a very natural result.”
For a good result, lips should balance the face and should be in proportion with the eyes and nose. The upper lip should have a bit of a pout and project out slightly more than the lower lips. The lower lip should be full and the borders should be clearly defined.
Dr. Rizk’s office is located at 1040 Park Avenue in Manhattan.
