Shefit pitches to ABC's Shark Tank.

This has been such an incredibly exciting, nerve-wracking and unbelievable experience. Bob and I hoped to secure a deal and we are thrilled that Daymond John was the Shark that invested in us. He's our perfect match.

Shefit®, a Michigan-based sports bra and athletic apparel company, appeared on ABC’s Shark Tank this evening to pitch their company in hopes of making a business deal. Sara Moylan, founder and inventor, and her husband Bob appeared in front of Sharks Mark Cuban, Daymond John, Kevin O'Leary, Lori Greiner & Robert Herjavec. Shark Daymond John, of FUBU fame, made an offer of $250,000 for 33% ownership, which Bob and Sara accepted.

“This has been such an incredibly exciting, nerve-wracking and unbelievable experience,” said Sara Moylan, Shefit® founder and creator. “Bob and I hoped to secure a deal and we are thrilled that Daymond John was the Shark that invested in us. He's our perfect match.”

Shefit® plans to use the investment and the partnership with Daymond John to improve their inventory position as well as their manufacturing capacity. “For the majority of the company’s existence the most challenging obstacle has been the manufacturing process and keeping up with customer demand,” said Moylan.

Made by a woman for a woman, Moylan crafted Shefit® more than 10 years ago while pregnant with her first daughter and struggling with breast pain that caused her workouts to lose intensity. Shefit® solves a very real problem in the undergarment market – as a result, there is no other product like it available.

“We have been completely overwhelmed by the incredible response to Shefit® appearing on Shark Tank,” said Moylan. “We've set out to create an amazing custom adjustable product and we're so glad the public wants to support our company!”

A woman’s back and shoulders carry the majority of the weight of her breasts. Shefit's patented technology adjusts up to 8” in the band, giving comfort and security underneath the bust. The 15-inch, non-stretch, fold-over shoulder straps allow for maximum adjustability and a personal, one of a kind fit – like it was made just for her. This all ensures a snug, supportive and comfortable custom fit so you can unleash your greatest potential.

“The whole Shark Tank process is so much longer than what gets shown on TV,” said Shefit's Sara Moylan. “From the application and interviews, to the planning calls with the production team, to the actual time in The Tank - all that gets boiled down to the final edited version of just 5 – 13 minutes. The process is overwhelming, and exhausting, but it was all very, very exciting.”
