"...there are plenty of hoverboard manufacturers that make very high quality products that very safe. Those are the products that we want to showcase."
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 02, 2016
Hoverboard Expo LLC has announced that the launch of the first Hoverboard Expo will take place later this year in Los Angeles. The event is scheduled to take place in October, 2016 and the official date and location will be announced at a later date.
The trade show is billed to be an event where consumers, manufacturers, and inventors can come together to showcase all of the innovative personal transportation vehicles commonly known as “hoverboards.”
The event will not be organized like traditional trade shows with lines of exhibitors restricted to small booths. Instead, the floor plan will provide exhibitors with plenty of space to allow attendees to actually test out some of these devices in a safe environment. In addition, there will be demonstrations and competitions to allow attendees to see how different models compare with one another when it comes to speed, maneuverability, battery life, and ease of use.
"We want this event to showcase the exciting potential of hoverboard technology while also focusing on the important safety issues that need to be addressed." said Sam Shore, founder of Hoverboard Expo LLC. “Unfortunately, hoverboards have received a bad reputation as a result of lithium-ion battery fires. Without manufacturing standards in place, many companies attempt to cut costs by using lower quality components. As a result, they jeopardize the safety of the public and their customers. However, there are plenty of hoverboard manufacturers that make very high quality products that are very safe. Those are the products that we want to showcase."
According to the official website, there will be an opportunity for inventors and entrepreneurs to show off new innovative hoverboard technologies. Additionally, there will be competitions to showcase the skills of experienced hoverboard riders. The expo will also feature several short seminars on these "back to the future" type devices. Topics include safety, legality, as well as discussions about the future of the industry.
Additional information with regard to date, location, and exhibitors will be released on the event website in the coming weeks.
