Toshiba Launches Enhanced G9000 Series Uninterruptible Power System
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) February 01, 2016 -- Toshiba today announced the launch of the Enhanced G9000 Series three-phase uninterruptible power system (UPS). The newest G9000 Series is available in 100 to 225 kVA and features a reduced footprint and the latest energy-efficient power protection technology.
The Toshiba G9000 Series UPS is purpose-built from the ground up to allow for flexible custom installations for datacenters, co-locations, call centers, and financial institutions. Already renowned for energy efficiency, the Enhanced G9000 Series has an increased efficiency rate of up to 97%. The energy-efficient design significantly lowers installation and operational expenses in comparison to traditional requirements.
Using Toshiba’s newest three-step, insulated-gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) technology in the rectifier/converter, DC/DC chopper, and inverter sections, the G9000’s double-conversion topology provides an AC/AC efficiency of up to 97%. At 20% loading the efficiency remains at approximately 95%, ideal for redundant parallel systems where loads are typically 25 to 40%.
The all-IGBT design of the G9000 Series also eliminates the need for a front-end harmonic filter and produces less than 3% input current total harmonic distortion. The exceptional dynamic response of its inverter eliminates the need for an output transformer, improving efficiency and reducing weight, noise, and total footprint. They feature an input power factor greater than 0.99, a wide input voltage range of +15% to -20%, and an output power factor rated at .9 (100-225 kVA). The G9000 supports 100% unbalanced loads and 100% step-load changes without battery discharge, and can support monitoring via SNMP, MODBUS, and other protocols.
