Under the innovative umbrella of the AAEM Physician Group, independent groups will have access to extensive organizational resources and expertise to remain competitive in the marketplace.
Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) February 02, 2016
The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) is proud to announce the newly formed AAEM Physician Group (AAEM-PG). AAEM-PG is an umbrella physician group that will provide consultation and practice services to local, independent physician groups and is actively seeking new clients.
AAEM-PG holds true to the values that have guided AAEM for over 20 years: fairness, transparency and unyielding dedication to the welfare of the individual emergency physician. AAEM is moving beyond advocacy and into action on the part of independent, democratic groups in launching this groundbreaking physician group.
The AAEM-PG board of directors, led by Chief Medical Officer, Robert M. McNamara, MD MAAEM FAAEM, will provide one-on-one consultation services for physician groups who wish to retain their independence in a climate of corporate buy-outs and health care consolidation. Under the innovative umbrella of the AAEM Physician Group, independent groups will have access to extensive organizational resources and expertise to remain competitive in the marketplace.
AAEM-PG’s purpose is to serve its members by creating fair work opportunities to enhance their professional lives by adhering to nine fairness principles. Read more on the AAEM-PG website: http://www.aaemphysiciangroup.com/our-values.
As outlined by AAEM president, Mark Reiter, MD MBA FAAEM, AAEM-PG “will create a comprehensive network where all component practices will maintain full, local ownership. Existing democratic group practices willing to commit to truly fair practice environments will now have a great option to improve their existing operations and better compete in an increasingly consolidated marketplace. In addition, as the AAEM Physician Group starts new democratic group practices, physicians interested in becoming a partner day one of their own new practice will have vastly increased opportunities to do so.”
AAEM-PG will make a formal debut at the 22nd Annual AAEM Scientific Assembly, February 17-21, 2016, in Las Vegas, NV. Dr. McNamara and AAEM-PG leadership will be on hand to meet with prospective clients and share the vision of AAEM-PG.
