New Session Preview Lets FastX Users to See their Remote Linux Desktop without Logging in
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) February 03, 2016 -- StarNet Communications Corp, (http://www.starnet.com/) a leading publisher of remote Linux and Unix visualization solutions today announced the addition of a powerful “Session Preview” feature to its FastX remote Linux visualization tool. Session Preview allows users to see the current state of the remote Linux desktop or other applications (sessions) they have running on a remote Linux server, without having to actually connect to the sessions.
To enable Session Preview, the user simply opens a browser on a computer or mobile device and type in the IP address of the FastX server. After logging into the FastX server, the user sees a “Grid View” which displays screenshots with the current state of all the sessions the user has running on that Linux machine. The full session can also be displayed by clicking the "Play" button inside the Session Preview image.
“Session Preview is a powerful feature for engineers and other power users who need to see what their remote sessions are doing, even when they are not at their office workstation,” said Steven Schoch, StarNet co-founder and Chief Executive Office. “With Previews, you can see what your sessions are doing from your smart phone, iPad or home computer. Based on the Preview, the user can decide whether to connect to the session to make changes, or connect at a later time.”
The newest release of FastX also allows Administrators to customize their sessions with logos to represent the session. A session that is running the GIMP graphics design program, for example, can be identified using the Gimp Logo.
FastX has become the most feature-rich remote Linux Visualization tool available. With the unmatched performance over both LAN and WAN connections, support for 2D and 3D rendering, and low cost, FastX is ideally positioned for large deployments in the semiconductor design, defense/aerospace and energy exploration markets.

FastX can be downloaded with a 30-day free evaluation license from the StarNet Web site.
