National media reported Instagram top ten list ranks California’s Largest Restaurant as the fifth ‘tastiest’ restaurant on Instagram. Southern California Landmark Credits Social Media and Great Fans For Continued Success Into It's Sixtieth Year.

While 2015 was by far the best year on record for California’s largest restaurant, San Pedro Fish Market & Restaurant, a key ingredient in that success was their continued explosive growth on social media. Recently Time Magazine and several national media outlets named San Pedro Fish Market & Restaurant the fifth ‘tastiest’ restaurant on Instagram.

Founded in 1956,San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant has used social media to grow much like they have always grown, through word of mouth. In addition, social media has increasingly been driven by consumers of their retail products, including their world famous shrimp tray in three flavors, are sold in nearly 900 outlets from California to Texas to Hawaii, including HEB, Sprouts, and Sams Club.

“Last year we had over 18 million interactions online with our social media fans in 37 states and in countries throughout the Americas and Asia,” explained Mike Ungaro. “Our business was founded by 15 year old cousins with the help of one of their fathers. We have always understood how to reach and connect with the demographic that in an earlier era used word of mouth and today uses Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and of course Facebook.”
