Santa Fe has historically been the home for many important and influential artists. Now the stage is set to present a whole new generation of talent to the local community and beyond.

David Richard Gallery is pleased to present, “Happy Birthday Meow Wolf!”, a benefit exhibition to celebrate Meow Wolf’s 8th anniversary as an arts production company and creative force in Santa Fe, known for combining art, technology, storytelling and entertainment into new levels of fantastic experiences and journeys. The exhibition will feature artworks created by Meow Wolf’s artists. A portion of the sales proceeds from the exhibition will directly benefit the participating artists and Meow Wolf’s ongoing activities. The public is invited to join in experiencing and supporting these truly outstanding endeavors. There will be an opening reception Friday, February 19th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and the presentation will be on view through March 5, 2016 at David Richard Gallery’s new location at 1570 Pacheco Street, Suite A1, Santa Fe, NM 87505.

David Richard Gallery is one of the few commercial venues in Santa Fe dedicated to presenting a platform for emerging artists and Meow Wolf’s eagerly awaited launch of their newest installation, “House of Eternal Return”, provides an ideal alignment to spotlight the artistic activity in ‘The City Different.’

“Given our respective commitment to the contemporary arts scene in Santa Fe, this exhibition is a perfect collaboration between Meow Wolf and David Richard Gallery,” says gallery co-director David Eichholtz. “We see this as an opportunity to support the young artists who are pushing boundaries and bringing something new and exciting into the mix.’

About Meow Wolf:
Meow Wolf was formed in February 2008 by a group of young residents hoping to supply Santa Fe with an alternative arts and music venue. It has grown into an arts production company that creates immersive, multimedia experiences that transport audiences of all ages into fantastic realms of storytelling. Meow Wolf’s work is a combination of jungle gym, haunted house, children’s museum and an immersive art exhibit. This unique fusion of art and entertainment gives audiences fictional worlds to explore.

The Meow Wolf Art Complex is home to Meow Wolf’s first permanent installation, "House of Eternal Return". This unprecedented art experience will open in Santa Fe on March 18th, 2016 at 1352 Rufina Circle.

About David Richard Gallery:
David Richard Gallery is located at 1570 Pacheco Street, Suite A1, Santa Fe, NM 87505, P: 505-983-9555. Since its inception the gallery has produced museum quality exhibitions that feature Post War abstraction in the US. The presentations have addressed specific decades and geographies as well as certain movements and tendencies. While the gallery has long been recognized as an important proponent of post-1960s abstraction—including both the influential pioneers as well as a younger generation of practitioners in this field—in keeping with this spirit of nurture and development the gallery presents established and very new artists who embrace more gestural and representational approaches to the making of art as well as young emerging artists.

In 2015 David Richard Gallery launched DR Projects to provide a platform for artists of all stripes—international, national, local, emerging and established—to present special solo projects or to participate in unique collaborations or thematic exhibitions. The goal is to offer a fresh look at contemporary art practice from a broad spectrum of artists and presentations.
