Beaverton, OR (PRWEB) February 08, 2016 -- WbSrch, a search engine based in Oregon, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on IndieGoGo to raise funds for hardware upgrades.
The campaign has a goal of raising $3000 for new, faster solid-state disk drives that will allow the search engine to grow and improve faster, quadrupling its size by the end of the year.
For the last two years, WbSrch has been a bootstrapped operation. It is currently running on 3 servers assembled from used parts purchased on eBay. The IndieGoGo campaign is the company's first attempt to raise outside funding and is available at http://igg.me/at/wbsrch/x/7554892
Founder Jason Champion had this to say about the campaign:
"It's not just about the money. We're running this campaign so we can connect with more users and get their feedback. There are a lot of things we'd like to accomplish and the best way to prioritize them is to talk with more of our current and potential users."
